Privacy policy

AudioTamer · Last updated September 7, 2026

AudioTamer processes your Mac’s sound locally. The app does not collect personal data, save audio recordings, or send your audio to XenoCode.

About this policy

AudioTamer is made by XenoCode Inc. This policy explains how the AudioTamer app, these product pages, and support enquiries handle information.

System audio and permissions

AudioTamer accesses system audio to adjust volume and apply effects in real time on your Mac. It does not record audio to files or upload audio to a server.

macOS controls access through its system audio recording permission. You can change this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording. AudioTamer needs this permission while processing sound.

Settings stored on your Mac

Output-specific on/off settings, volume reduction, equalizer settings, effect chains, and setup preferences are stored locally on your Mac. AudioTamer does not send these preferences to XenoCode.

No account is required. The app includes no advertising, analytics SDK, or tracking. XenoCode has no server-side AudioTamer profile or listening history to retrieve or delete.

Optional Audio Units and Apple services

If you add a third-party Audio Unit, that plug-in receives audio as part of the effect chain. Its developer supplies the plug-in and its privacy terms. Review those terms before using it.

Apple handles App Store purchases and TestFlight distribution, including information you choose to share through Apple’s diagnostic or feedback features, under Apple’s privacy policy.
