Terms of use

Sunscreen · Last updated October 22, 2026

Sunscreen is a Mac app from XenoCode Inc that cleans up and masters songs. These terms explain its use and what it does and doesn’t promise.

Your licence

For copies obtained through the Mac App Store, use of Sunscreen is governed by Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement and the applicable App Store terms. This page provides additional product information and does not replace that licence. TestFlight builds are also subject to Apple’s applicable beta-testing terms.

Use Sunscreen only as permitted by that licence and applicable law. XenoCode retains ownership of Sunscreen.

Your songs and their rights

You keep whatever rights you have in the songs you process; XenoCode claims none in your songs or the results. Sunscreen changes how a song sounds, not who owns it or what you may do with it. Whether you can publish, distribute, or sell a song depends on how it was made and the terms of the service that made it, such as your Suno plan. Check those terms before releasing a song.

Audio processing

Sunscreen applies automatic processing tuned to common artefacts in AI-generated music. Results depend on the song, and a step may not suit every song. Listen before you release, and untick any step you don’t want. Sunscreen never modifies your original files.

Mastering raises loudness. Higher loudness targets, such as “Very loud”, are loud; set your playback volume to a comfortable level before listening.

Requirements and compatibility

Sunscreen requires macOS 14 or later and reads MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A files. Processing time and the number of songs processed at once depend on your Mac and its memory. We cannot guarantee that every file will process; damaged or unusual files may fail with a message in the queue.

Purchases and refunds

Where Sunscreen is offered through the Mac App Store, Apple displays the applicable price and handles payment and refund requests under its store terms. Any price or availability shown in your local App Store takes precedence over general information on this website.

Trademarks

Suno is a trademark of Suno, Inc. Sunscreen is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Suno, Inc. References to Suno describe the songs Sunscreen is designed to work with.

Privacy

See the Sunscreen privacy policy for how the app keeps your songs on your Mac and how website visits and support enquiries are handled.

Warranty and your rights

The warranty and liability provisions of the applicable licence govern your use of Sunscreen. Nothing on this page excludes or limits consumer rights, warranties, or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Updates and support

Features and compatibility may change with updates. We will revise this page and its date when this product information changes.
